it seems like nothing works the way it should. Work is no fun,
relationships are a struggle and you don’t even feel comfortable in your
body. At times like this, changing your life can seem overwhelming and
almost impossible. After all, there’s so much that’s not right and so
much to do – where and how do you even start?
There is
a way out of the quagmire and it’s one that’s actually surprisingly simple –
start by changing just one thing…

magazine article you wouldn’t normally even consider reading. Take a
different route to work. Try a new type of restaurant. Take a walk
in the park. Any simple change of routine or scenery can shift your
perspective and has the potential to drastically transform your life.
Imagine
a ship at sea. If the captain decides to change course by even just one
degree, 100 miles later on they’re in new waters heading for a completely
different destination. Rather than letting the seas of life push you off
course, once you’ve made that first one degree change you’ll find it becomes
easier and easier to take the helm and direct a new course for your life.
As you
make more and more small changes you’ll find that life’s problems are often a
question of perspective and that the most profound shifts are the ones you make
to the way you think about and react to the events that happen around you.
And the
best part is, if you don’t like your new perspective or destination you can always
change it again - or even go back to your old one if that feels right for you!
