< Go Back Everything is possible with persistence Posted: Apr 4, 2014
"Nothing in the world can take the
place of persistence. Talent will not;
nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a
proverb. Education will not; the world
is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."
~ Calvin Coolidge ~
If you find
yourself stuck in a rut give this simple process a go and you'll soon be moving
again:
1) First,
write down six things you could do to move yourself forward just one step. They don't need to be mega things, just things
that will move you forward just one step.
2) Next
pick any one of those six things - it doesn't matter which one. You can choose the easiest one, or the
quickest one or simply choose the one that you feel most comfortable doing at this
moment in time.
3) Now
write down the answer to this simple question: 'By when do I want to have done
this one little thing that I've chosen to do?'
4) Next
quickly list the actions you must go through to accomplish the thing you've
chosen to do and underline the first action.
5) Now
just do it! Take the first step, do that
first action and Success, you're out of the rut and moving forwards again.
6) Finally,
go back to Step 2, pick another thing from your list, and repeat the process
all over again.
"The will to win, the desire to
succeed, the urge to reach your full potential, these are the keys to unlock
the door to personal excellence." ~ Eddie Robinson ~
