< Go Back No matter how hard you try you cannot change the past, but you can always learn and benefit from it, Posted: Apr 23, 2014 "The past has no power
to stop you from being present now. Only
your grievance about the past can do that. What is grievance? The baggage of
old thought and emotion." ~ Lao Tzu
No matter how hard you try you cannot change the past. Nothing you can do will undo what has been
done. But you can always learn and
benefit from the past, and you can change the way you react to what has happened
before. Regularly view the past from the
present, ignore your old patterns of thought and reactions and look for the
value in everything you have thought and done and in everything that has been
done to you.
Treasure that value, combine it with the new experiences
that happen to you every day, and use them all to help you move forwards
towards your goals. With your
ever-increasing lifetime of experience and a clear set of goals to aim for
you'll find it easier and easier to keep on track towards your chosen
destination no matter how many times you get blocked, knocked back or diverted
on the way.
